How much paint and $$ Looking into getting a SS hood and putting it on my 98 z28. Anyway it seems finding one in red is next to impossible so i am looking to just get one and paint it myself.
Now the question is, about how much paint will I need to paint a hood like this? Also where can i go to get the factory red paint and what am i looking at price wise?
Been awhile since i painted anything so i dont remember roughly how much covers what with one coat.

personally i would get a quart to throw enough coats to allow the full vividness of the color. go to your nearest Dupont jobber and take your paint code along with your VIN. $85.65 for a quart of red in ChromaBase with my local Dupont jobber.
