(SS Decal) clear coat painted over I bought a Black 01 SS and found out myself that it was repainted, They did a good job but when i got ready to purchase some chrome SS decals, The front passenger SS decal was sprayed with clear coat, They didn't bother to remove them so they sprayed over them. Should i remove them with a razor blade or should i leave it alone ? knowing it might (clear coat) travel ?

its only on the front passenger side, all the others are good, but wouldn't it look tacky putting it over it ? how much would it be to remove them and have it recleared ?

It would be a tidious job, blending clear and risking going into the basecoat. You would have a definite edge when you peel the decal off and you would have to feather that until its gone then re clear(blending) or shoot the whole door which is what i would do. If you blend you will have to wet sand and buff and you might have problems later on with clear delaminating.

if they didnt take the decal off and just cleared over it... thats terrable... if you take it off itll deff have to be blended if not just painted the whole panel.. i would just leave it becuase its just emblems and its gonna cost alittle bit more than a few emblems to repaint... P.S. thats terrible work if somthing like that happens to you if u get a repaint or what ever dont accept it.... thats half asked work...
