Anyone else experience rust under the radiator shroud? If so, how do you fix?

My 2000 looks like crap and it probably will for quite some time. My focus is on fixing the sail panel. Funny as this spring after it sat over winter there were navy blue paint pieces about an inch square under the car. Fell from the exact place you are dicussing.

What I wound up doing was cleaning up the rusted parts, then repaint with touch-up paint. Since it's under the shroud, it's not noticeable.

What I'm really concerned about is where the bolts hold the shroud in place. I was thinking of applying some bodyfill on a small rusthole created around the nut that's built-in the support.

I have surface rust on the forward edge in a few spots, and one bad spot where the metal is weak (about 1/4" in from the edge) I'm going to strip it down, paint with POR-15, reapply body color.

On another note, I taught my radiator to not support rust, but to fight against it
