I would only shave the door handles if it was a show car. Too many complications could come up, and you could never race at the track.

The only thing that would be better to do would be to add 2, 3, or 4 sets of door handles. Then you would definately be different, everyone shaves handles these days. Go out on a limb and put at least 2 handles on each door and maybe even a few extra lock cylinders in the center of the door then you will have a true conversation piece.

I think adding perhaps a door handle from another car like a vette or something would be cool. I dont mind the door handles of an f-bodybut theyre just plain and square and they're the same since 93! A lil outdated in my opinion.

Well stick a tortia up my *** and give me a sombrarro! It's been around 5 years since I shaved the handles off my ta. I didn't run any emergency release cables or add any other redundant devices. I Left the keyhole on the hatch alone, so if the system failed, it's crawl through the hatch time. Since doing this I replaced one of the solenoids. It had developed some rust on the shaft and wasn't pulling with the same umph allthough still doing doing it's job. I had to enter the car once through the hatch; My navigation brain had gone bad and was constantly drawing power with the car off. So after a week vacation I came home to a dead battery. Warranty the nav, replace the battery, all's well. So basically it's been worry-free on my daily driver. As far as the track, you can't race withouht handles. So if you like the track you're out of luck, if you don't care for the track, no problem. pics in sig.

Richieg: Your WS6 looks awesome man, very clean job.

To the OP, why do you care what everyone else thinks? If you like the look and don't care about the track ban, wtf, go for it.

BTW aren't the corvette door handle solenoid activated as well? Why go through the hassle of C6 handles when they can fail in the same way as shaved handles when the power cuts out? If you're gunna go through the hassle you might as well shave it clean.

hell personally if it were me, i would go ahead and change my door handles from an Fbody to a C5 corvettes handles. But i would like to add since this does not add hp or tq or better handling or anything that i would think would better the car in anyway other than appearance it has no worth to me. Except for tint, dear mother of god mine sucks, so that is on the list ahead of door handles.

Hell yeah, I think it really makes the car look smoother w/o door handles. Do you know what door poppers/solenoids it uses??

If you wanna do it, then do it. That nbm T/A looks slick.

Im kinda tired of everyone being scared to get creative because everyone flames the crap outta you. You gotta have a red, black, or silver car lowered with tt or c5 18'' wheels (no bigger!),12 bolt, dark windows, no body kits, no stickers or lights, and run 12's on here or everyone will trash your setup.

lol, cracks me up, everyone should leave'em stock if they all want them to be the same...

Shaved handles is ******* ugly, pointless, and stupid. If you do it, buy an old Merc.
