i got the shaved door handles also. didnt know u can t go to the track without handles. that sucks. ive had to crawl throught the hatch many times and have contemplated putting the handles back on but i think it would cost too much. car came without the handles when i bought it. looks clean but u will replace your poppers(solenoids) and crawl through your hatch eventually. all up to u

shave them!!!! it looks sooo sleek and sexy with NO handles!
you dont have to have an S-10 to shave them, just keep the back hatch keyhole for backup

i shaved the door handles on my vette, here is a pic

I think it's a simple choice really... If you race, don't do it. If you don't race, then do it. cars look good both with them and without them so don't worry about whether it will look good either way.

as far as i see most modifications on the cars look are hated by the members here, here where i live camaros are one of the favourit cars for heavy look modds,

not my style though.. i like them best slammed with SS spoiler, nice rims and good hood, so i maybe am at home here

Performancewise I think my car is fast enough. I mean, its a procharged ls1 with a few other goodies.

Not my style, but, on some lowered trucks, I think it looks good. Just having everything painted to match satisfies me.

Yeah, I second that, Leave the windows down, mold the doors into the car, wouldnt that be sick?

On a serious note, if people dont want you to shave your handles, thats fine. Its you car, Personaly, I wouldnt do it, but I WILL shave the locks, why wont I shave my door handles? A camaro is a muscle car and I drive it like so, I drag race. If I didnt drag race, I promise you I would have NO handles...

It comes down to this in my mind...

Are you gonna drag or not?

Sounds like you had a similar experience to me. Thieves twisted out both my locks with a flathead. After that didn't work they managed to rip out both door handles. And after that didn't work they finally just busted out the driver window. It's like they tried to make my day as bad as possible. They could have just busted out the passenger window, saving them time, while saving me money & a crap load of labor. Not to mention me picking glass out of my *** from the drive home. Okay, rant off. Had my doors not been totally messed up, I wouldn't have had the motivation to shave the handles. But I ended up saving money by doing so, and managed to mostly turn a negative into a positive. In the end, I'm not happy about my car being broken into and mangled, but I like my shaved handles.
