Default How many times can body parts be painted?

Eventually I will plan on repainting my entire car. But right now I am having some fum with the new heads and cam . I had a question about the plastic bumpers, front fenders and such. How many times can these pieces be repainted? Is there limit? Would it be better to just buy replacement parts and have those ready when it is time to repaint?

Thanks for the help.

as long as you take the time and don't cut into the fiberglass or plastic with a power sander and just hand sand it until you see the actual surface then I would say infinite number of times... You can always just sand down to the primer and be safe.

No reason to remove good factory paint completely. If it isn't spidered I'd wetsand it with 320, putty the chips and prime it.if it is spidered u gotta feather it out and prime it,you don't need NEW PANELS for paint.

no you dont need new panels but... sometimes if the spider cracks are in the actual plastic and not just the paint they will eventually come back even if you fill and prime....
