Default Wal-Mart RC car window paint or VHT Night Shade??

I was hoping to tint the side markers on my Firehawk tomorrow night and Wed. and I was wondering how many people have used the RC car tint paint from Wal-Mart or Hobby Lobby to tint their side markers.

If I use the Walmart paint I can start on it right away, but it would be a week or so before I got the VHT.

Should I wait on the VHT or use the RC window paint??

If I use the RC car paint, should I still use clear on top of it?

Thanks,

Brent

I used 5% limo tint I had left over from my windows on my side markers and it looks good.

bluehawk2: I tried the r/c tint (model master window tint) and it seemed to work well. I had to do about 10 coats before it actually started to darken up. Im not sure how well the vht covers but I think the r/c stuff works pretty well. I let it dry for about 10 mins after applying a few heavy coats, then did a few thin coats and it came out with a very deep/wet glossy look. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I may give the RC paint a try................if it doesn't work out well I can always sand it off and try again.
