Default Fine scratches in chrome bumper help!

My 70 Camaro has been sitting for about a year in my parents garage. There was a little surface rust that had started on the rear chrome bumper. I managed to get all the surface rust off, now you can see fine scratches on the chrome plating of the bumper. Basically looks like a haze on the rear bumper. How can I get those fine scratches out and restore the bumper so it doesnt look like crap without buying a new one?

Thanks,Mike

Take some 0000 steel wool and go over it lightly.

Do I do this dry? After I do this, will I need to use any certain type of polish?

Thanks for the reply, Mike

I usually do it with a little water and then finish up with some chrome polish.
