Crack in door...
The door on the car i recently bought has a nasty crack.
So..i just bought a used door off of here. But the outside of the door has a bit more damage then i had expected. Possibly from shipping but not sure. Body shop thinks they can fix it though. ANd then paint it to match my car.
Question, is there a way to take the outer part of my door, and put it on the other door? Then i would not need to paint, nor fix the damage in that door. BUt would have a non-cracked inside part of the door.
Hope this makes sense.

The skin is panel bonded on. There is little to no chance of getting it off in usable condition. The only way I can concieve is to cut the skin off with a little of the door shell still attatched, then grind away the unwanted part of the door leaving a clean skin. By the time you do all that you might as well buy another door. What color is your car?

The car was once red, then repainted black (you can tell when you look at the door, and elsewhere). Looks like a bad job. :-(
The door i got shipped to me is silver.
