hey guys i recently noticed that my whole trunk lid itself has shifted to the left. theres a nice gap on the right side and the left side is a lil higher over the fender. ill post pics in a lil bit to show what i mean thanks guys

The bushings or hinges dont wear out, check the hinges on each side to see if there are any signes of the lid shifting. The gas struts put quite a bit of pressure on the hatch when closed, that combined with the vibration ect. can cause the hatch to shift to the rear if the bolts arent good and tight.

loosen the bolts that hold the hatch on, and theres slack all the way around so you want to barely move the hatch, itl take you 15 times to get it right, well it took me that many times.
just loosen move tighten, repeat method till correct. make sure the hatch latch still matches up aswell!

From the pictures it looks like the LH side needs to slide to the rear of the car to be even with the edge of the quarter panel. If this is the case that will open the gap on the LH side and even it up quite a bit. All you need to do in that case is loosen the two 13mm bolts on the hinge and the strut will push the hatch to the rear and re tighten them. The striker will most likely need adjusted to compensate.
The latch mount or support is extremely weak on our cars. I have seen cars that slid sideways into curbs cause the latch support to tweak sideways holding pressure on the hatch keeping it off center.
FRC's are great for even a stock F-body but I have to call BS on you guys that say you have tweaked or twisted the unitized structure of the cabin forward with torque to the point that the doors, fenders or hatch are missaligned.

Easy way to fix it:
Step 1: Buy 3 point subframe connectors
Step 2: Drive down to chassis shop
Step 3: Have chassis straightened
Step 4: Have them weld subframe connectors on straightened frame
Then it should be better than new.
