Blending shock towers.

Blending shock towers. I have my motor out of my car and want to repaint the engine bay. I was hoping its possible to blend in those shock mount plates into the wheel wells, smooth it all out, anyone ever done this?

I did it on a 3rd gen once. Just make sure you lay a bead of weld across everything you want to fill. That way there will be no flex that will show up as cracks later on.
