To paint or not to paint?? Just picked up new hood, has a few scratches on it but I was able to get most of them out with some rubbing compound. I am going to have it painted regardless but I kinda like how it looks in black, esp if I do the CETA mod... What do you guys think? Repaint hood black or paint it to match car?

i say paint it to match, but if you paint some other features on our car black to match the hood it would look sick. i have seen it b4, a burnt orange 01 trans am with black features. it looked good.

If I kept it black I would do the ceta mod, black ruff racing 278 rims with polished lip and possibly black spoiler? Just tossing around a few ideas that would be different... probably just going to match
How would it appear to cheap if the hood is actually repainted a high-gloss black along with other accents on the car? I understand the "cheap" look if the hood appears to be out of place... but what if other parts are painted to match and an actual theme is setup?
Ok, decided after looking at a few other cars on painting hood red, and having black racing stripes painted on. Gonna paint hood red in end of Sept. and get stripes on a few months later. Should be nice.

IMO i dont think it looks bad... but what comes to mind... is yer to cheap to paint it... not saying you are... but thats kinda what just popped in my mind when i saw it... i dont think it loosk bad though.. one of them things ide probably have to see all around to make a final choice... but hey its yer car... if you like it keep it... hell if you want to make it pink then wtf.. why not.. its yer car... who cares what everyone else thinks... as long as you like it
