Question ZL1 style widened fenders...

Anyone know if somebody makes these or if you would have to do all the fab work yourself? I really like they way those look on the f-bodies, plus u can get some huge meats under them. thanks

You mean like the ones on the Dick Harrell cars? I don't know if you can buy the fenders separately.

theres a company on here making some replicas for 2500(quarters and fenders only). problem with those is you wont have the correct bumper cover to make it look right. i dont think the zl1's ever had those either. i think your thinking of the dick harrell cars. theres also a guy on here thats making his own flared quarters on a 93 camaro. most likely your better off fabricating your own or having a sheet metal worker do it for you.

ya i know what car you are talking about... its a blue car with yellow stripes, side exhaust, and a #9 on the sides.

i just thought of this.. but do you think it will be possible to cut the original rear quarters off the car, roll them a little bit to make them wider, and then put them back on the car? i think that would be a good alternative to making all new ones...

yep you can do that. but buy new quarters dont use the originals. it will be a lot easier to do with new ones or fabricate your own out of sheet metal.. i personally dont have the knowledge about diong this because im a painter with basic body knowledge and dont have the patients for major work like that lol. have u checked out the w2w camaro build? they show the amount of work that will go into that. as for the fenders i dont think its possible unless metal ones are created or your amazing with fiberglass.
