Default car is finally done

was side swiped by an 18 wheeler in march. i am 23 and have only worked part time at a body shop for about a year now. i did all the work myself in my shop at home. pulled the motor and trans mainly just to do it, but i installed motor mounts, headers, and intake. also i did the paint job in my shop as well. let me know what ya'll think. it was just pewter and stock rims and hood. added the new hood, rims.

I'd paint the hood to match the rest myself but it looks good, especially after being swiped by a semi

I always wonder about that when I pass semis on the highway now, I sit lower than I did in my old car and sometimes I wonder if they see me down here... A cousin of mine got sideswiped by a semi which threw her off the road into the median. Had my grandma and a few others in the car as well. Fortunately no one was seriously hurt but the car was totaled and the truck never stopped so...

he mainly hit the passenger fender and bumper. tore up the hood, suspension, fender, bumper, and headlight. he kept going but i fought to catch him and finally did about half a mile later. i had to hold my steering wheel at like a 3 o'clock position just to go straight.

How'd you flag him down or did you just write down license plate? I hope he paid for all the repairs!

Looks good man, nice and shiny. I like the ceta mod in gloss like you did it. Are you having trouble with the hood fitment it looks a little lifted from the corners?

i did do the tribal myself. i can't seem to figure out what im going to do about the hood. the driver side is fine but the passenger front corner sticks up. i painted the hood black to go with i guess you could call it the theme. black gloss ceta, black rims, black hood. i might do some pewter stripes on the side of the raised part later. to kinda break up the black on the hood.

My step dad had a similar thing happen to him in his 93 Z. The semi driver didn't see him and hit the rear quarter panel. I guess he would have gone under the semi, but he was able to save it and only get the damage on the quarter. The semi didn't pay for it either and the cop I guess sided with the semi. Never took it to court or anything. He later sold the car and it was totaled by the guys son when he lost control in some rain/ice.

try adding washers under the headlight bolts on the radiator support and then loosen and pull up the fender a little bit in the front. This should fix it. It's not the body work but for some reason all the VFN ws hoods do it. Mine does it just on the drivers side.
