Default Exhaust Burn Problem

I unfortunately have some decently bad exhaust burns on my back fascia.....someone told me that i could simply mask it off sand it down and shoot it w/ some matching touch up paint because it is down low and you'd never see it........how should i go about fixing this....it is orange on my white car so right now it looks like **** and i gotta do somethin about it....don't really wanna spend a lot of money tho....

if it were me i would sand the burn down with some 180 grit sand paper, by some 3m plastic filler and fill anything thats seriously burned. let the filler dry, sand with 180 then 220, and then to finish it use 400 grit. then i would prime it wetsand with 600 then 800 then paint and clear it and buff if you have to. thats the long way to do it. the cheap way would be touch it up. also you could try some paint thinner to get rid of the yellowish orange hew.

I agree with above, I would paint the entire bottom section right up to the line which seperates it from the rest of the bumper if it's really bad though.

Also this would be a really good time to do the CETA mod if you wanted.

might as well do the ceta if your re painting the bottom because then you dont have to paint the whole cover for a good color match or you dont have to try to blend the bottom into the rest of the cover.
