Default Patch holes in bumper from removing grille

I removed the grille and it left holes (duh) I want to patch them, can I use bondo? If not, what should I use?

Use a two part epoxy. Bevel the edges of the hole, and use some mesh cloth behind it. Apply 2 part to both sides. Let it set up. Than you can sand it, and finish it off with bondo.

I used bondo in mine the first time, but it was only temporary because I was replacing the bumper soon anyway. It cracked after about 2 or 3 months. I am having it redone by a friend at a paint shop on a new bumper. I will ask him what he is using for it.

use bondo hair with short hair in it. dont even have to use a cloth. The light weight filler to smooth and then some spot puddy to fill pin holes.

Go with the two part and fiberglass mat. Or plastic weld it. I would not reccomend going with bondo with strands in it at least not on my car I wouldnt.

Talked to a body shop, they said rough it up with 60 grit paper and use good old bondo and some high fill primer.

Problem with regular Bondo is that it doesn't flex. If there's any flex in the plastic at the point where the bondo is spread, it'll crack at those lines. Bondo may be good for a metal panel, but put it on a wiggly nose, and it'll crack off.

There *are* flexible fillers though. 3M has a 2-part filler made specifically for flexible body panels.

I used this one:

to repair a tear in my Fiero's nose. It bends with the nose as I push on it. No worries about it cracking out. That's what I'd use to fill those holes, maybe backed with a little fiberglass.

I used Evercoat's Polyflex:

http://www.evercoat.com/productDetail.aspx?pID=8

to fill in the road rash and big chips in the bumper cover. It too bends and flexes with the nose.

This would be about as effective as putting tape over the holes, not a good idea.
