hobby lobby if there is one in your state, buy the white foam sheets and glue them together then you can cut it really easy with a hack saw blade. They also sell blocks and other stuff. Its that floral foam, its really easy to sculpt and im guessing you are going to do some fibreglass work. If you are dont lay the resin directly on the foam it will melt, put some aluminum foil first.

yeah I am doing fiberglass work.....I am making my own air lid since no one makes a 85mm anymore I am going to make a 102mm air lid.......a friend gave me the idea of clay....I am going to my old high school to see if they will sell me some ceramic sculpting clay. and to protect the clay from the resin I am going to cover it in bees wax.....it should turn out pretty nice when it's all said and painted.

Ever try that foam sealant? It could be formed near-net from
the nozzle and so on. I have cut a bunch of it with kitchen
knives (sealing up house). I prefer the "Touch-n-Foam" from
Wal-Mart for price and it cures rigid. You want to do anything
over an inch in multiple passes to avoid having a pocket. May
get a lid-sized piece out of one can.

I recently tried the same thing, but i did not put foil so it collapse on me. I have yet to try it again. The reason i chose foam is because you can melt it away with thinner. It took me about 45 min to an hour to make the box out of foam to the contour of the cars ram air hood. I was trying to make a direct box with the filter standing straight up infront of the ram air holes.
