I say screw all that, if your insurance says it's a "total loss". That could be a good thing! I had a total loss on a 1994 TA with really low miles. AAA gave me over $10,000! And guess where that money went to? hmmmmmmmmm
Plus a local bought my TA for like $1,000 bucks, and put it back on the street. But your car does not look nearly as bad as mine was. I'm just saying, if the insurance company offers a total loss with a nice price tag to it. Take it, it's a freebee! Someone else will part your old ride (which I doubt) or put back together.

You have over 800 in parts. If it has frame damage I wouldn't have it repaired unless the facility fixing it has a computerized measuring system. Unfortunatly in the collision industry there are 10x more bad body techs than good ones. I have been doing this for 22 years and work for a Lexus certified collision center, just remember, no matter what anyone tells you, it will never be as good as factory. It can be repaired to function properly but never put back as the factory built it.

well my title had water damage on it from before i owned it. So they were gonna just replace it with somthin just like it and worth the same but now b/c of the title they offered me 2500. But i was payin on the car as if there was no problem with the title. so now im gonna take them to court for the money.

It was a 2001 with about 85,000 miles on it.

the only reason they totaled it was b/c it would take more money then they wanted to give to fix it. so YES it is fixable but as that one guy said it will never be like it was. It will always be different.

eh tell them you're calling the insurance commission...you'll get ACV for the car. guarentee it. if the tires are in the normal spots the car can always be fixed fine!
