Default paint pricing

ballpark estimate how much should i expect to pay for a complete paint job same color and a black stripe that starts by following the curves of the hood scoop i want it to look like the car in the dec. camaro performers article the comeback kid but red and black instead.

Well if you are getting it professionally done, depending on if they reprime it or just sand and spray, which basically means they will sand you current paint down and just spray the same color over it. Which will be alot cheaper. Your looking at about 2,200 if you get it reprimed.

A do it yourself paint job is about 1,000 in materials/paint.

Go to the paint shop you want to get it painted at and have them give you a quote.

a good paint job is going to cost a lot if you are having someone do it. You get what you pay for.

being red its goin to cost alot more in materials, but i would expect to pay atleast 3 grand for something that will look good and hold up over the years

I would price a job like that to my customers for around $3000-$7000.00, depending on if there were any dents, previous bad bodywork, bumper cracks, excessive rock chips, etc. That would include the R&I of bumpers and trim, back glass with a new back glass moulding and new emblems/nameplates installed. Stay away from the back alley shop that will do it for next to nothing and most good shops have a lifetime warranty to back up what they sell. Good Luck
