Default Filling a small chip..can you color sand???

Ive got a very very tiny chip in my paint. I was wondering if I can use tough up, dab on, then color sand down, very carefully, and buff out. (using like 1500, then 2000 grit paper) Has anyone done anything like this?

Its in the rear quarter, and I have to get the ding poped out first. But Its the only flaw on the car and it bothers me...

it can be done that way, but you need to put your color on 1st let it dry good and then put some clear on top of it let it dry really good then wetsand with 1500 then 3000 and you should be able to use a light compund with your hand to buff it out..

agreed and if you havent had a lot of experiance with wetsanding then use 2000 and then 3000. now they actually have 4000 but i have yet to use it. but anyways make sure you let it dry otherwise the buffer is just gunna take it right off.
