Default CME Valence fitment issues

Well, I just got my CME valence in, its unpainted and everything, but I just wanted to mock it up on my car to check the fit. It seemed to sag a bit around the corners and it didnt sit quite flush against the body. Am I missing something or is this how they typically are until they are fitted properly??

Does anyone have any photos of them installed from underneath (the hardware side) I am looking to get the valence painted in the next two weeks so I can finish my CME install with the headers.

Please help.

Thanks!

When you just hold it up there and test fit it, it will sang on the corners. It will looks like if it wont fit right. When I fist test fitted mine, it looked kinda big and the gap looked huge. After the final install with the adhesive and pins it came out perfect. If yours is OEM if will fit right. It wont sit right while test fitting it since it is flexible.. Good luck..

What adhesive and what pins? Do you have any details of the installation process? I was planning on having it painted and doing the install myself, but I dont really see how it should be installed.

Im not really a stranger to body work, I had two years of auto body repair and painting at the local community college, so I can paint, pull dents, etc. but this one has me stumped.

The Adhesive would be 3M Emblem/Molding tape. The pins would just be Pine Tree Fastners. These are like the one that hold your bumper up top just a bit bigger. I'm pretty sure since your having it painted ( at a a shop i assume) they would be able to install it without a problem. Use the seach feature and you will find lots of threads on installing it.

Here's one that will help you out a bit: https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearance-detailing/636037-put-cme-56k-warning.html
