Standox and spies, are deffenately reputable names and some of the best in the business. How do you sign up to go to one of those classes? I dont mind learning new things. I had a buddy of mine who ppg sent off to Germany for painting school. He told me overthere painters are considered like doctors and get the same pay. Doesnt sound too bad.

for both spies and standox out here we have a paint supply company called metro supply and they give us all the info when the classes are and we decide when we wanna go and if its ok with the shop manager. but if your just looking to go on your own time give the facility in detroit a call and ask when they next class is. i know right now the next basic class is like march 5th through the 7th. spies and standox are in the same building so when i went for standox and showed up 3 mounths later for spies the standox guys were like what the hell r u doing back here lol. i worked in a standox shop for 2 years and then shop closed down so i moved into a spies shop and they sent me there for that lol. for standox and spies u can go to germany for their mystro class which u have to have a hell of a lot of experiance because u sit in front of some of the top guys at standox or spies and they basically sit their and judge how you spray and critique u.

yeah i on my satas base and clear guns i have the a.d.a.m to have a digital regulator but i also got it so the gun has some counterweight on the back of it. i dont like the digital gauge in the handle either. gotta sata klc-b for primer and the polyester gun for polyester filler. both have regular regulators. that polyester filler gun has a 2.5 tip lol but its nice for fiberglass parts.

Man thats exactly what i am talking about. I think its a paint hog. And i dont know if its just my digital 3000, but it doesnt seem to atomize as well as my iwata. Plus my iwatas have that swivel cup witch makes it easy to paint upside down and in all sorts of angles.

i have the non digital but i have a sata digital micrometer on the back of it. i dont ahve problems with it. also what size tips are you guys using because for the 3000's i like to have a 1.3 for base and clear. solid colors i use the 1.4 though.

I have a 1.3 on mine. I dont use that gun anymore because i get good results with my iwatas. when all is good why change right. I also have a 3m compliant with a 1.4 and it also sprays bad *** clear coat.

im am very partial to my nr2000's. we have 9 of them hanging up in the mixing room.ha.

i used a devilbiss gti for a few months but it was fatiguing the crap out of me, i went back to the 2k cause of comfort and weight. i had an iwata i bought used, sprayed it a few times and liked it, but a guy offered me more than i payed for it so i sold it.
