My little bro is prepping his truck for painting and he is trying to remove some Herculiner from the bed rails. Herculiner is the bed lining kit you can buy at Autozone. We applied it a couple years ago and now that he is gonna paint it we need to get it off the rails. I tried calling the Herculiner hotline and the guy just paused and was like "well I''ve never been asked that". He has tried sanding and grinding but it just smells like a burnout and swirls the lining and clogs the disc.
FYI we are painting it the same red as the SRT-10 Viper with a touch of pearl. We have been contemplating ghost flames but haven't decided yet.

You can take a razor blade scraper and cut it off. More than likely it will damage the paint under it. And once you get it started good it just rakes it off. I had to do it on a truck I painted. I also tried chemicals, sanding and grinding. The razor worked the best. If you are careful not to cut to deep, you can get it off with little to no damage to the paint.
