Easiest way I found.....dont use the little metal clips at all, two face tape them with 3m tape, take a razor and cut off the extra, put them on and drill the wholes on the bottom and screw them on, drill the few holes for the plastic plugs and your done....most likely will make a mess drilling the oval holes for the metal clips...the 2 sided tape will keep it tight against the body for the whole length..good luck.

I am going to do the same thing but with a Firebird. Can anyone else give me any tips or advice? How did yours work out 96t/acj?

I took off the tires from the whole side of the car. Then I used jack stands to hold the car up. Next I took my jack and used it to hold the GFX in place. I drilled some holes in the wheel wells to hold the GFX in those spots. Next I drilled the hols for the clips and put the clips in.

The clips hold way better and are more reliable then 3m tape.
