Default Best way to remove over spray

I had a fender painted a while back on the jack off that painted it got over spray on the hood. What would be the best way to get it off. Should i wet sand and buff or will a claybar do it? Thanks for the help.

Yes I'd start with a clay bar (a real one not the liquid garbage) then a cleaning compound (if necessary) followed by polish and sealer wax. Do you have a buffer/polisher? That would make things much easier....

agree 100%. A clay bar kit works wonders. Then some good wax.

Ya i have a polisher/buffer. What do you recommended as a good compound to use and a good wax. I'm just not sure the difference between a cleaner wax and regular wax.

I like just about anything that 3M makes, it's a little more expensive than some stuff but IMO its the best. If you go around and look in body shops about 90% use 3M. A cleaner wax is basically a combo of polish and wax, but I would still seal it. Or if you need to, use a polish to cut a little more, then wax and hit it with a hand glaze.

I don't have any experience with either of those, but as long as they are the bars and not liquid they should be ok. Maybe someone else has experience with one of those two and will chime in.
