Default side molding removal

i was wondering if it would be ok to remove my side molding being the circumstances:
About six months ago my car was hit in a parking lot I got it fixed but i think they blended the door with the rear quarter. I doubt the body shop removed the molding on the door when they blended it. I want to remove the side moldings but can i just cut and buff the door to make it smooth???? or will more work entail?

I would not remove them, especially since you already got hit in the parking lot! Those things actually serve a purpose!

I did it. It makes the car look a lot sleeker.

beach z was your car repainted though? i did it on my 13 year old paint on my 95 but there hadnt been touch ups so yes it looked great.
if the painters did not remove his moulding when they blended, his paint "might" not match

A body guy did it for me, and I had the car painted at the same time. I think you'd have to.

BTW, it's funny how that body line made the car look a lot longer.
