My auto body instructor was from Columbia, he said when he was a kid they used to hook one end of a chain up to a golf cart and the other to the frame. Then back up to the vehicle and punch it, then all the slack was snapped out of the chain and eventually it would pull the frame back out, sometimes. I would in no way recommend something like this and I would try a few more shops you should be able to find one that will give you a free estimate.

any good bodyshop should give free estimates, some will even do on site estimates. check dealership bodyshops they usually give free ones.

that must have been a big dip to bend a frame 5 inches at only 20mph! More like a crater.

it all depends on wheather you want it "fixxed" or repaired properly. using come alongs, trees, or other vehicles as a frame rack will def. work however if you want it right taking it to a shop is the way to go. at the body shop i work at we have 2mm tolerances. no way your ever going to get that close in the back yard. that being said if you really dont give a **** about tolerances then go for it, ive fixxed a few at the house this way. but be warned if that frame is off it will through every thing attached or bolted to it off aswell, be prepared to do alot of shimming, slotting, and adjusting.
