Default Fender not lining up!

I just got an aftermarket left front fender and it is fiberglass, not the composit plastic. The lines match up pretty good, took some work to get the gaps looking good, but their is a deformity in one spot under the mirror, the fender bows inward about 3/8th of an inch. It prevents the door from opening. The gap at the top by the hood looks good, and the trim line is good, so I don't want to mess with those points, but the span in between is not right. This is the only area I wasn't able to get lined up. My question is can I heat it with a heat gun and reshape it a little, (remember it is fiberglass) or ........
Suggestions appreciated!

Hope that made sence.

Let this be a lesson to all...

DO NOT BUY AFTERMARKET PARTS.

DO NOT LET YOUR INSURANCE CO. PUT AFTERMARKET PARTS ON YOUR CAR.

Good luck to you. Thats all I can say, F-Body fenders are a pain in the *** anyway.

Don't think you can reshape fiberglass by heating.

adjust the hinge inside the fender well, when you open your door you can look thru and see where the fender connects to the car, adjust that hinge back a little and it should open the gap some. Or you can also adjust the fender out a little there also.
