When you are talking candy colors you are talking extra millage. HOK is the only paint company that will guarantee their paint not to fail up to 16 mills. Says a little something about their product and probably why its a little more expensive than ppg.

I would do it with house of kolor and i think paint alone will cost you about 650ish. I would go with a base close to candy orange to prevent streaking of the candy. PPg vibrace is ridiculous as far as price goes. Both are easy to paint with but i would use HOK.

Be aware that any chips are going to be very expensive to fix and will not look right due to the transparency of the paint. I know all too well because my flame job USED to be all candy. One chip that happened in the hood front edge cost me $400 and it never looked right. Candy paint only gets darker and darker the more that's applied unlike conventional "regular" paint that is opaque so you can see how a repair will affect the rest of the candy around it.
I ended up having my flame job all redone in regular paint but the tips of the flames were left candy since they would most likely not get chips like the other parts on the car.

Unless you have someone who is a master of kandy painjobs on cars, go with a 2 stage. I have seen so many butchered kandy jobs from cheap shops, or from guys who are good at kandying motorcycles (too small to stripe/spot) and there's no fix for it except ..sand it back down and start over. If it's a daily driven car I recommend a 2 stage as well since the inevitable chips and dings are a bitch to fix on kandy.
