Painting wheels -Any Tips?
Well me and another member on here z-28_u_ho are painting my wheels tomorrow and was wondering if there was any tips or advice some of you could give that have done the same.
Not painting the entire area of the inside of my wheels but just the five spoke star and the center section. Going to be very technical in masking off other parts of the wheel and was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice. thanks.

I sanded mine and used this self etching primer (like 5 dollars at advance auto parts) some high temp engine paint because it was all I had and some wheel clear coat all spray can stuff from advance. Have saw people get good result also from using automotive paint through a professional gun

Well my one of my other friends used standard automotive black paint from advance through a gun with of course the primer and clear and his wheels look great and have had no issues with any chips or anything. So I just bought the same stuff he did except in a spray can so it should all come out the same once it's done. Just really looking forward to the new look.

my recommendation, is take off your tires. if you dont, the paint will go on thin around the edge where the tire is and when you get new tires put on it will chip/flake/scrape off. take the tires off to get a better spray and dont worry about it later.
dont ask how i know this
