Opinions please.... I have a 99 white SS and want to dress it up a bit. Here's what I'm thinking:
doing the manta and the hockey stripes in either candy purple or candy blue. But I don't want it to look gaudy.

I wouldn't do both, Either the hockey stripes, OR the manta. You might also consider the berger stripes. You might be able to do a manta (hood only) with the bergers aswell, but the hockeys + manta is too "front heavy". I think either color could look good but I would tie it in somewhere else aswell like your calipers or something.
i dont know about the lime green...but i saw the nicest camaro ever...its was white with chrome halos, crome z06's, front bumper cover delete, dropped, with black camaro inserts...but if you must i say manta and berger only.`

color Well at least you did one thing tasteful when you decided to buy a camaro which was get one with the flat black berger panel A+++ for that. but i am going to feel real bad beating a girl when i come out but i think i will get over it Tahuuu

I agree with others, don't do both. The manta is is poined and matches the lines of the hood, the hockey stripe is blunt and stands out. Doing both would clash and look gaudy.
It's kind of like people that mix non geo-metric shapes like flames with geometric shapes like checkered flag squares. If you like having a schizophrenic paint job then it's OK.

I like the Lime Green as well, but do the stripes only not under the door. I had them make me a hybrid kit (of sorts) cross between the 35th Ann. kit and the 98+ kit. You can see it somewhat in my signature. 3RD Gen did the install as well...couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
