Question on fiberglass hood repaint

Question on fiberglass hood repaint
I'm considering buying a used VFN fiberglass sunoco hood. The color of the hood is not the color of my car, so I will need to have it repainted. Has anyone had this done? If so, do you mind telling me how much it cost? Do you think it will cost much more than just buying an unpainted hood and having it painted? Obviously there will be more prep work (i.e. sanding and stripping the hood) but I'm just curious as to how much this would cost over a unpainted hood. Any input would be great.
Thanks!

It shouldn't need to be stripped unless its been painted a few times already. Should just be able to sand and re-shoot, with the possibility of blending into the fenders/bumper cover, but if it needs to be blended to get the color to match you would have to do that either way.
Does it need any body work (i.e cracks, big chips or anything)?
Repaint on a hood should be in the 350-600 ballpark....

I don't think it will need any work. I haven't seen it yet, but I will shortly. The hood is currently black and my car is red. I'm also planning on having the bumper cover repainted. So, assuming its in good shape and needs no fiberglass work, it won't need to be stripped, rather just sanded and blended to the red?
Thanks for your quick reply.
