Airplane Paint?
Airplane Paint? My friend works at a place that does work on airplanes for private owners. They will soon be teaching him to paint and some of the guys at his work have told him they will often let employees take home half full buckets of paint. He claims that the paint is ultra durable and doesn't even need a clear coat (I'd have him clear it anyway).
Would there be any cons to this?

Found out what brand of paint he is using and I'll tell you if it's good stuff or not. Airplane paint is very durable and they do make clears depending on what brand your using. I've shot U.S. Paints before and it 's pretty good ****. If it's a polyurethane it should be fairly good stuff. What colors are you looking at doing?
SS is correct the aircraft lines of paint are urethane and will work fine on a car. Good luck.
