Just wondering, what did you use to fill in the letters? My buddy used some kind of liquid stuff with some hardener adder and it turned to paste. Then after it dried he sanded it down. It settled in just a tad enough to where you can almos see the outline of the letters. Been on there going on almost two years and suprisingly hasn't cracked yet. If it doesn't that's great bc it looks pretty good like that. I'm just scared it might

Sounds to me like he used fiberglass resin. It works but it's probably not the best way to do it. It probably won't ever crack, but it could pop out as a whole piece if stress was put on the panel. If the letters are starting to come through, then he probably didn't grind out the letters. Most likely, he just filled in around them and then sounded it all down. Fiberglass resin tends to shrink up over time, which would cause you to see the letters if not grinded out.
