T-56 Transmission (For parts, or Spare Rebuild)
Category: Drivetrain
Price: $500
Part Fits: 93-02 Chevrolet Camaro
Location (State): Can-ON
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item Can be Shipped
Engine: LS1/LS6
LS Engine?: Fits LS Engine
Rebuilt Two years ago with new bearings, 1-2 syncrho, upgraded shift fork, brass blockers (upgrade), bronze fork pads (upgrade)and BS47 billet inserts (upgrade). Approximately 5,000 KMs on the new parts.
Torn down last month due to troubles engaging into 2nd gear. Previous shop apparently did not repair the 1-2 syncrho properly
(as noted by Trans-Tech).
Parts needed (as quoted by transmission shop):
1-2 synchro assembly, associated syncrho gears (not main gears)
5-6 syncrho assembly, associated syncrho gears (not main gears)
5-6 gear (main gear)
Quoted parts $600.00 from Trans Tech.
If you know how to rebuild a transmission, or can order your own parts (From D&D Transmission: http://www.ddperformance.com)
you can have a fully rebuilt transmission with upgraded parts for about $1100.00, or less.
A brand new T-56 (stock) from GM sells for $4K+
A rebuilt T-56 (stock parts) from a performance shop sets you back about $1900.00
A used transmission is about $1000-1500.00 according to my searches
I'm selling the shell and all parts (including upgrades) for $500.00 firm.
Will also rebuild fully with deposit down and sell as functional unit.
PM if you're interested. I will supply photos, or you are welcome to come over and see it.
These are the damaged parts:
Some teeth are shaved off a gear (near blue dot), along with heat discolouration:

Bad:
Location: Cambridge, Ontario (N3C 1R8)
Will ship to USA for additional shipping fees.

To Clarify:
Here is a picture of the new parts installed (bearings not shown)
The transmission is currently in pieces so I will consider parting out the internals as well.
