I'm looking to trade my M6 T56 (excellent condition, shifts perfectly, 70k miles) for an M12 T56 from a GTO. I like the wide spaced GTO 1-3 gearing better than the close ratio 1-3 gearing in the F-body.

 

I think your mistaken......MN12 is gonna make you shift faster. ANd BTW first gen V's have the MN12 too.

yup . just that on the v the tranny is a bit different *rear part of the tranny

 

Right. Gears 1,2, and 3 are more aggressive on the M12, but are also wider spaced than the M6.

 

I have a core out of a 06 gto. 3-4 started to grind so it was pulled.
