Are the threads the same as the stock H-shifter that comes in the f-bodys?

no, they are not. you must slide this **** onto your shifter and put a screw into it.

hey that car looks familar lol it will screw on its plastic inside you just need to put your stick in a vice and turn it on it will create its own threads

i don't recall it doing that when i installed mine. mine slid down, then i drilled a pilot hole into the stick and put a small metric screw into it. but at any rate, it's easy to do either way
