We haven't seen any gains from porting the LS1 manifolds. Your options for intake manifold gains would be to switch to an LS6, FAST102 or ported LS2 system.

As with the LS1, we don't see much for gains by porting the LS6 manifold. Here is a comparison of intake manifold options for the LS1:

Switching to LS6 stock manifold.... approx. 10 rwhp gain.

Switching to ported LS2 intake manifold and ported 90mm LS2 throttle body.... approx. 15 rwhp gain.

Switching to FAST102 intake manifold and 90mm LS2 throttle body... approx. 20 rwhp gain.

Switching to ported FAST102 intake manifold and ported 90mm LS2 throttle body... approx. 28 rwhp gain.

We can help you with the last 3 options.

I have a completely stock ls6 intake manifold for my 99 SS. What throttle body would best suit that and do you have any on hand for sale?

What are the gains on a ported LS6 intake? Are they greater on a heads/cam car?

The LS6 manifold typically doesn't gain anything from having it ported. You could step up to a FAST manifold to experience gains.
