What's year car did the vats control module come out of? I was told the security light will get tripped when the body control module is bad because that is what looks after the vats along with other things. Is this not true?

VATS is from a 1994 Z28. I don't know the answer to your question.

The consoles don't mate to the dash. It's up to you as far as aesthetic preference.
