I thought the LS7 clutch could only be bolted to the LS7 or LS2 flywheel? NOT the LS1?

Does it come with the LS7 flywheel? If so, the GM Performance Billet flywheel or the stocker?

Haha yeah probably not. Not real sure why the previous owner had put it into this car to be honest.

Badazz - The guy I purchased the car from said he only purchased the pressure plate and friction disc. How true that is I don't know. What I do know is that the flywheel that was in there, whether it's an LS1 or an LS7, will come with the clutch if requested.

If anyone knows how to differentiate between the two so I can verify I'll be more than happy to check.

The ls1 flywheel is flat and the pressure plate is a little deeper to reach it.
The ls2/7 flywheel has raised surfaces where the PP bolts to it. So the PP mounting points are not as tall.
Either will work on any of the engines just have to match PP to flywheel and flywheel is 6 bolt.
Some of the newest flywheels (ls9 and maybe the newest ls7) have more than 6 bolt holes where the flywheel bolts to the crank.

Just went through the same thing myself and am waiting on my ls2 flywheel to get here now.

Ok cool, I'll check when I get home. Regardless, whatever it is it works and was installed in the car for a little while.
