yes it can be cut, I got this motor from a chevy dealer by me, it was out of an 05 SSR the tech told me it spun cyl 7 &8 rod bearings i cant even see where it spun, Im just going by what the tech i got the engine from told me. the rod bearings on number 8 were never put back on the rod so i don't know what they looked like. the #7 bearings are there but they look fine.
