Only reason I am selling is I am upgrading to an LSX440 and my new engine is almost finished, so I am removing my 408 from my Camaro now before winter hits and my new engine shows up. This is a 408ci engine built with a LQ9 iron block has Eagle H beam rods 6.125" and a Callies 4340 compstar crank 4" stroke 24x, Diamond forged flat top pistons -2cc 2618 aluminum and Hell Fire rings. Has a custom cam speced by Pat-g 235/243 .621/.624 114+4. Dual roller timing chain , ls7 lifters and ls6 oilpump. Includes ARP head studs, CNC ported LS3 heads 70cc not milled Ferrea valves hollow intakes and PRC .675" dual springs titanium retainers all the good parts. Includes covers and a truck oilpan I need my F-body pan for the new engine. Engine was built last winter by Chad at Golen High Performance engines in NH has about 1,500 miles and 8 strip passes on it. Was broke in on dyno and on first pass Dynoed 636hp with a stock Ls3 intake and throttle body, he said with a better tune some miles and better intake should be well over 650hp. Will crate up free. Normally shipping runs about $350 with UPS freight 2-3 day service. I have sold many items and have experience so I can help you with shipping I even have a freight shipping account through my work.

$4,950 SHIPPED complete engine minus intake and front accessories. if not sold by Monday this engine gets a new carb and intake and goes in my pull truck for next year.
I refuse to lose thousands of dollars just to sell this, it's a 1,500 mile $8,500 engine look at my trader ratings or price it out yourself ? just the CNC'd LS3 heads with valve and spring upgrades are $2,100 alone ?

Is a harness/ecu included at all? What compression is the engine? I'm guessing around 11.0 or so.

Where in NJ are you? Were you affected much by Sandy?

Not sure if they are steel rings. I told them I was considering a 250hp nitrous shot, but never installed it. PM me an offer for it without heads ?

I actually moved to upstate NY around Syracuse and forgot to change the address not affected bad here just windy and power loss. No harness or ECU and the compression is 11:1 runs on 91 octane no trouble.

car ran 10.80's on motor with 1.45 60' times had a TH400 with a 3600FTI stall and ford 9" with 3.90 gears

back up forsale, buyer could not get all the cash..... I priced this 408 out on Texas Speed and it was $7,100 without covers, rockers and balancer. I feel my price is more than fair considering it has less than 2k miles on it and it's a proven combination that ran 10.80's in my full weight 2000 camaro with 3.90 gears, TH400 with a 3600 FTI converter on 91 octane pump gas.....
