I bought this engine from Hunter02ss, oh and i paid promptly. price was $1000 plus shipping.
a shipping estimate was aquired of $112.
i wired him $1,112 on Saturaday January 26th.
there was a $68 charge to wire the money through walmart and he said he took care of that. so technically i wired $1,044 to him and paid a $68 charge to do so. was nice of him to pay lower the price so he took care of the charge.
Monday the 28th he let me know fedex could have to ship it on a pallet so it would be a lot more so he was gonna find an alternative that might be cheaper.
he found an engine shipping company to hip it. its wednesday january 30th and he said they would pick it up on friday Feb 1st.
Its Feb 1st and i send him 2 texts 3 hours apart. no response.
i text him the next day and he said he wasnt at work yesterday so he wasnt sure it was picked upor not. told me he would be at his shop in an hour. said that Sat Feb 2nd at 8:54am. i text him at 12:47pm asking if they picked it up. no response till 5:14pm. they did not pick up the engine and he said he would call on monday and find out why.
monday Feb 4th comes and i text him and he said he was working on it at 4:53. i said ok.
now tuesday Feb 5th. i sent him a text at 1:35,5:43,7:37,and 7:57. i figured they were spread out enough that i wasnt blowing up his phone. no repsonse. nothing vulgar just asking about an update.
wed Feb 6th. i text him about an update and he said they will pick it up Friday. i guess it was scheduled to pick up this friday instead the previous. i said ok talk to you friday.
Friday Feb 8th. i text him at 12:44,3:01,4:42,6:12,6:17,6:39,6:49,9:28. i was a bit worried at this point. wondering why no response.
Saturday Feb 9th. he said he was traveling through the mountains with his family and had no reception. understandable.i asked him for a tracking number and he said he wasnt there when they picked it up so he will get one on monday. i said ok thanks man.
Tuesday Feb 12th. i send 2 texts that day about 8 hours apart. no repsonse.
Wednesday Feb 13th. i send 5 text hours apart. a couple only a half an hour apart.no response.
thursday Feb 14th. i have called. left voicemails. texts. no response.
Friday Feb 15th. i send texts. calls. voicemails. no repsonse.
Saturday Feb 16th. i send a text and get a reply. they didnt pick up the engine. not sure why but the ppl he relied on just screwed him.
i was considering driving from Cleveland Ohio to Atlanta Georgia to pick it up myself.
i started figuring out who would come with me to georgia in my civic to get this engine and plan it out. i then tell him if i drive down there will i get back some cash for shipping. which would only be $44 but still. thats $44. he then says he will get it shipped.
Monday Feb 18th. he chose estes. says it will be picked up after lunch.souds good to me.he said he would take a pic of the tracking number for me and send it to me.
Tuiesday Feb 19th. i send him 3 texts.no response. THIS GUY MUST BE SUPER BUSY.
Wednesday Feb 20th the engine gets picked. he sends me a pic of the truck picking it up. sweet. finally.
Tuesday Feb 26th and Estes hasnt recieved payment for freight but the engine is in CLeveland. his text"they're supposed to bill me. give me a minute i will call them." did not hear back from that day
Wednesday Feb 27th. i text him all day a with about an hour or 2 between texts. sometimes an half an hour. i get a reply after 10 texts that he left his phone at home. at this point with how his communcation was my mom had me freaked out at telling me involve the law. idk how that would have been in my favor. im the buyer and suppposed to pay for the engine pluys shipping. so i kinda freaked. but never got volgar
shipping through estes cost $309 and a $50 storage charge after the engine was there for 3 days. plus $3 per day it sat.
estes told me they called him 4 times. he said " i'll refund you whatever was over the 1000." i did not recieve any said refund.
i pay the shipping on Feb 28th. so i originally wired $1,044. engine was $1000. i paid $309 in shipping to estes. so i paid an extra $44 to him.
March 1st i have the engine in my garage
engine is advertised to come with an Underdrive pulley and the front and rear covers. when i see the engine it does not have those items.
March 3rd i ask about him shipping some covers and the ud pulley.
his reply "yeah,i have to ask the guys in the morning why that stuff was removed.only thing i can think of is they used it for the new engine build. either way i have other covers. i dont know why they just didnt use the ones we have.

this is for the future if anyone is going to buy from him. about 5 weeks of waiting since payment and got the engine and it missing pieces advertised and overpaid a little for the engine. i have not got the covers or ud pulley. i gave up that and am glad i didnt get completely ripped off. hunter02ss said he doesnt use paypal. through a lot of searching he said i think in 2009 he could just make a paypal or use his friend's account for a sale. not sure why he wont use paypal. seemed odd.
i havent installed the engine yet. i'll update my build thread when i do and if there is any issues with the motor.
