I know that I can buy a regular black SS grille and have it painted to look like a 35th anniversary SLP grille but it just won't be the same.
I am offering $500 including shipping through USPS! First come first serve!

It seems like it's paint to me. I did a little touch up paint on a couple tiny spots and the paint blended perfectly. Prob. only way you'll get an original one is if someone totaled there car and there're parting it out without front end damage. Good luck there.
I know how you feel the grill insert completes the front end.
I should have bought like 5 of them when I had the chance I could have doubled my money.lol.
