Default WTB: 9" or 12 bolt with 3.73-4.10 gears

I am in Northern California. Rear must have Ls1 brakes... Let me know what you have, I don't mind paying for shipping. Must have posi/limited slip (no spools) and not making any strange noises.

PM me with what you have and what you are asking. Thanks!

Yeah you and about a million other guys would like to have that rear end! I've got a complete set of LS1 brakes with good rotors and NAPA gold pads for $165 shipped to you if you are interested.

Best price on a 9" housing I have found is about half way down on this page:
http://quickperformance.com/Products/housings.htm

For carriers late 70s to about 1990 full size broncos have 3:50 posi and are not that hard to find for a less then a few hundred bucks.

Best of luck to you bro

How do the carriers work? I heard they are easy to swap. If I grab a carrier out of a bronco, do I need to set all the last and everything? Or can I just bolt it in and go? If that is the case, I could probably build one for under 2 grand correct? I would be fine with 3.50 gears for a while...

Thanks for the info!

Yes and yes. One of the reasons people put Ford rear ends in everything is because they made them to bolt in and go. Unlike GMs the ford center section bolts out and you can swap it from car to car with no set up. It's about the same as swapping the just the cover on your 10 bolt. Also they don't use those stupid c clips to hold the axles in. 4 bolts hold in each side behind the rotors and you don't even have to dump the oil to pull axle shafts. You would think after 5 decades of doing it stupid GM would have caught on by now...

Yep I would think 2 grand would do it including beer. Check out http://car-part.com/ to give you an idea on carrier prices. You can do better at a you pull it place but this is a good place to see what is out there.
