I'm looking for an ls1 rack/linkage knuckle as I am nearing the end of my lt1 to ls1 conversion and getting nickel'd and dime'd to death here. I've got $75, any takers? Let me know asap as my car is on the lift at the shop awaiting this. BTW camaromotorsports...I'm just a stone's throw away from you over here near memphis...let me know if you can help.

To Be Quite Honest A Lt1 One One Will Work, I Can Do 75.00 On It, , But If You Have A Lt1 One You Can Use It, They Make 2 Different Styles, V6 And V8 On All Models, We Learned That On One Of The First Ls1 Builds Back In 98 On A Z28 Car, We Used A 96 Z28 Rack, Has The Same Angle And Worked Great,s O Maybe You Can Svae Soime Money And Use Your Lt1 Rack

I may be wrong on this one but I'm thinking that the ls1 rack gear is placed a bit more to the drivers side or at a slightly different angle. The mechanic who's doing the swap for me showed me the problem the other day...he couldn't even hook the linkage to the rack now this may be caused by something as simple as changing lt1 linkage to ls1 linkage but he said I'd need a new rack. I've done many searches in the converstion section on this one and some threads claim you need an ls1 rack and others don't.....? I'll get back with you on the purchase.
