To tune or not to tune? See sig for mods below. Will be putting in FLP LT headers and NGK TR55 -IX's this week.
Should she be tuned or not? What's there to gain by tuning (aside from leaning it out)?

Re: To tune or not to tune? A friend of mine has only LTs and simple bolt ons and made a little over 350rwhp with tuning. So its up to you. Although the price isn't always worth it.

I made 353 hp and 372 tq with lid, ported TB, Hooker headers, ORY and a cut out through an auto. I was at 346 hp and 355 tq before the tune, but thats peak I picked up more in the mid rage and up top. Also got rid of my codes and changed some shift points. my car drives so much better now. It depends on what you want out of your car. I got a tune now, and later Ill go back when I get a cam.
BTW MTI tuned the car.

Re: To tune or not to tune? You might need advance changes and or timing adjustments to optimum hp, if anything, other than A/F adjustment. One option is to get them installed, then get a dyno run with a wideband O2 readout, and see what you're running. After that, and seeing it run on the street, you can make a better decision.
Re: To tune or not to tune? Stk cars will benefit from a tune and on avg. about 10-12RWHP. There are quite a few things that can be done with the tune that people do not realize. Overall the driveability should improve and be much more fun to drive. Headers, I would definitely have it done.

Re: To tune or not to tune? With your mods you will need to lean it out and raise the rev limit. You could buy LS1edit, EFILive and a wideband O2, then you can tune it yourself everytime you do a mod.
