Default Ford/Bosch 42# injector tuning....

I guess I was kinda misled into purchasing them. What do I need to do tot he computer tuning to make them work?
Phillip
BTW can you run these in an all motor 347cid application and be successful?

set the inj flow rate accordingly, scale it up. Shouldnt be a problem making them work. I have done them with and without the inj offset and both ways the fuel trims were fine. send me an email if you want help further.

yes ya do. running them on the factory settings, the car will barely idle. you need to change the injector offset table by multiplying the entire table by 155-165. fired right up, then tune your PE VS RPM and you're set. 42#'s are a great nitrous injector for a 347 ci motor, as they'll be pretty difficult to max out (depending on the shot/tuning) under a dry shot.

Not a flame, but thats wrong. You need to scale the Injector Flow Rate Table, not the Offset Table.

You can tweek the offset table but thats not where your initial scaling is done to account for the larger injectors.

Phil FYI, I'm using the following settings
IFR- scaled 168% across the board
Injector Offset- stock values

Haven't needed to tweak the injector offset table yet. Works great with the stock one. You do however have to scale the inj flow rate table.

i had the stock offset table as well. only made flow rate adjustments... they are probably the EASIEST injectors i've tuned.

When does this calculation come into play?
