What software are you using for tuning? If EFILive, you need to find a tune with the same os number from some place like holdencrazy.com and just do a trans segment swap with a tune that has a 4l80. If you have HPTunners, you have to email them your tune for them to do the segment swap for you.

There are no TCM segments on E40 pcm's, they use a separate TCM.

there are t42 ecms controlling a 4l80e trans. I would just use the stock one if you are using an e40 ecm.

Thanks slow. Unfortunately, all I have found for 2007+ are 6L90E and Allison transmissions.

PM Alvin@Tick on here. He has a conversion harness to run a 4L80 with a T42 TCM.

What about tuning? Or do you just need the harness adapter? Is there anything special about the adapter? Couldn't I just wire the pin-outs from the TCM to the 4L80E plug?

No if it was that simple, that's what everyone would do.

Yes there is some tuning involved.
