It sound's more like he's the piece of crap that no one should rely on. Just like Firechicken had stated, tuning on the street is great for drivability purpose's and fuel economy, but the dyno is needed for fine tuning the WOT calibration's.

a car with fuel pressure on the low side at wot can be a full point
or more lean. blindly stabbing at pe could get real expensive.
why does'nt he invest a weegee board?

At least the OP knew better to avoid being taken advantage of. It's really sad that there are people who pay someone $500 to rape their PE table just because they own a shop.
